Columbia Hospitality adds Seattle’s Hotel 1000 to management mix

Columbia Hospitality has assumed management of Hotel 1000, a 120-room luxury property located in downtown Seattle. Founded in Seattle, Columbia Hospitality will manage all lodging and dining operations at the property. Hotel 1000 is expected to join the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, a portfolio of independent luxury hotels known for distinctive experiences.

With this addition, Columbia Hospitality continues to grow its presence in the Pacific Northwest, particularly in the Seattle market. The hotel joins a national portfolio that includes hotels, resorts, restaurants, venues, spas, golf courses and residential communities across the U.S.

“While Columbia Hospitality manages exceptional properties across the country, we’re especially excited to partner with a Seattle icon like Hotel 1000 in our own hometown,” John Oppenheimer, founder and chairman of Columbia Hospitality, said in a statement. “With a strong alignment across Hotel 1000 ownership, operations and brand—and a leadership team that has direct experience working at Hotel 1000—we look forward to building on the property’s legacy and contributing to the local community.”

The hotel has 120 guestrooms, including 36 suites and a 2,000-square-foot presidential grand suite. Many guestrooms include separate soaking tubs with ceiling-mounted faucets. Additional amenities include The Nineteenth, a Topgolf Swing Suite offering Full Swing simulator technology for golf, interactive games and private group gatherings.

Food and beverage offerings include All Water Seafood & Oyster Bar, which highlights locally sourced seafood, regional wines and craft cocktails; and Rosebay, a cocktail bar focused on locally inspired and sustainably sourced ingredients.

The property is two blocks from the waterfront and within walking distance of Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, the redeveloped waterfront district and major sports and entertainment venues, including T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field.
