Comparisons with same class traditional U.S. hotel indicate boutique hotels continued to perform very well in 2025, according to the Boutique Hotel Report 2026 from Bardoul Hotel Advisors. Demand and revenues reached all-time highs. Luxury-tier indie boutiques had a strong year with increases in all performance indicators, including a 6 percent increase in revenues.
Based on data in The Boutique Hotel Report 2026, solid performance of this hotel type continues to attract development. The continued appeal of this segment is further illustrated by the franchise affiliation of several popular indie boutiques including Dream Hotels, Graduate Hotels, CitizenM, Standard, Origin and Bunkhouse over the past few years.
“Lifestyle hotels increased supply at the fastest pace in 2025, gaining from the largest number of affiliations with former indie boutiques, many with an emphasis on outdoor lodging such as Autocamp, Postcard Cabins and Under Canvas brands,” Kim Bardoul, owner, Bardoul Hotel Advisors, said in a statement. "A focus on the outdoor lodging concept will be an interesting boutique trend to watch as this segment continues to evolve."
