Actabl has unveiled a new integration that connects its ProfitSword and Hotel Effectiveness platforms, which is designed to allow hotel labor budgets to flow directly into operational labor plans.
The integration comes as hotel operators face increasing pressure to manage labor costs amid rising wages and tightening margins, according to the technology software provider. Hotel companies such as Hospitality America are using ProfitSword and Hotel Effectiveness together as part of a broader technology ecosystem from Oldsmar, Fla.-based Actabl.
"For us, it's about streamlining," Ben Campbell, Hospitality America CEO, said in a statement. "We need all these different pieces to interact with one another. We're doing that throughout the entire environment with Actabl, from our forecasting with ProfitSword to Hotel Effectiveness and Transcendent."
"Operators need labor plans built on their financial targets and designed to stay aligned as demand changes. This integration between ProfitSword and Hotel Effectiveness gives operators a scalable way to enforce labor discipline without adding complexity at the property level," added Katy Smith, senior product manager at Actabl.
By linking the two systems, Actabl aims to provide a more unified approach to labor management, ensuring that plans remain aligned with financial expectations even as demand fluctuates. The integration also is designed to improve portfolio-wide visibility. With budgets and plans aligned, management teams can more easily identify variances, track spending patterns and evaluate labor performance across multiple properties using consistent benchmarks.
Operationally, the integration is expected to reduce time spent on manual data entry, improve accuracy by ensuring labor plans reflect approved budgets from the outset and strengthen alignment between finance and operations teams, according to the company.
