Regency Hotel Management selects Stayntouch for PMS rollout

Stayntouch has partnered with Regency Hotel Management to deploy its cloud-based property management system across the company’s portfolio of independent hotels.

Regency—a Sioux Falls, S.D.-based management firm with a nationwide portfolio—selected the platform following a seven-month evaluation process. The company manages approximately 45 properties directly and supports an extended portfolio of more than 100 properties through various partnerships.

The rollout includes tablet-based operations designed to extend service beyond the traditional front desk model and support multi-property oversight. Properties were brought live in as little as two days per hotel, with implementation teams overseeing training and transition, according to the Bethesda, Md.-based technology platform provider.

“In 32 years in hospitality technology, I’ve never seen a major PMS transition with this level of staff buy-in and operational success,” Jim Stark, chief technology officer, Regency Hotel Management, said in a statement. “The platform allows us to remove barriers between our guests and our teams, while giving us the data and flexibility we need to serve both our guests and our ownership groups. Most importantly, it feels like a true partnership.”

Regency cited the system’s mobile functionality, multi-property management tools and integration capabilities as key factors in its decision. Hotel teams can check in guests using tablets throughout public spaces, including meeting and event areas, which is intended to streamline group arrivals and redistribute staff presence across the lobby. According to the company, the platform’s interface has shortened onboarding time for new hires and facilitated adoption across its portfolio.

Centralized reporting and real-time portfolio visibility were also considerations in the selection, enabling corporate teams to monitor performance metrics across properties, according to the company. The company added the system integrates with third-party providers without additional interface fees.
