Benchmark Resorts & Hotels is poised to bring two new properties into its portfolio this spring with the addition of the The Dellshire Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., and the Virginia Guesthouse in Charlottesville, Va.

For The Woodlands, Texas-based Benchmark Resorts & Hotels—the independent collection of resorts and hotels by Pyramid Global Hospitality—the openings mark a continued expansion of its portfolio which now includes more than 40 properties across the U.S., Caribbean and Bermuda.

Located in the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” the Dellshire Resort is a four-story hotel with a Medieval theme. The property encompasses 208 guestrooms and suites, five on-site dining outlets, multiple indoor and outdoor pools, a 9,000-square-foot family entertainment center and meeting space for up to 280 guests.

Anchored a 60-foot fire-breathing dragon at the entrance, the hotel’s design aims to resemble an enchanted castle with stone-masonry façades, cathedral-style windows, ornate sculptures, decorative corbels, flaming torches and iron ridge cresting. The signature attraction will be mixed reality experiences and gameplay woven throughout the resort through cutting-edge technology.

Meanwhile, tucked into the grounds of the University of Virginia, the Virginia Guesthouse is a new hotel and conference center slated for an April 2026 opening. A linchpin of the university’s welcoming Ivy Corridor, the property will offer 214 rooms and suites plus casual dining at Poplar or The Perch rooftop bar. A total of 25,000 square-feet of meeting and event space will be available as well.
