A month after Hilton opened its first Tempo hotel in New York City’s Times Square neighborhood, the company has opened Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square, the brand’s second property in the city. With the debut of Motto New York City Times Square, alongside the recent and upcoming openings of Tempo by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton in Times Square this summer, Hilton will add nearly 2,000 rooms to its portfolio in the destination. The Motto is around the corner from the new Tempo.
The 400 guestrooms at the Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square were designed with soft neutral textures as well as storage and technology features. The design inspiration combines 1920s New York City style and design with modern lines and architectural elements. Headboards mimic the city skyline with curves and corners that reflect the architectural evolution of the city, in a neutral and calming collection of textures. Guestrooms connect for groups traveling together and can be booked in configurations of up to six adjoining accommodations. Rooms can have a queen bunk bed with a twin bed above, a queen flex bed that stows into the wall or a standard queen bed.
Art selected by contemporary artists reinvents the lines and forms of 1920s fashion for the modern era. Art focused on shape scale replaces the technicolor displays outside with softer refined details. Communal spaces combine the rhythm of the archways and corners with an intentional flow of public spaces from The Commons to the arched lobby bar and into the on-property restaurant, The Alderman.
Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square is the sixth Motto by Hilton to open since the brand launched in 2018, joining Motto by Hilton New York City Chelsea, Motto by Hilton Washington D.C. City Center, Motto by Hilton Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square, Motto by Hilton Tulum and Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak, with upcoming locations including Cusco, Peru; Hong Kong; Glasgow, Poland; Atlanta and more in development.
