Parador introduces engineered hardwood within Harmonia Collection

Parador has introduced Sensus, an engineered hardwood product within its Harmonia collection designed for use in commercial interior environments, including hospitality and retail.

The introduction of Sensus expands the Harmonia engineered hardwood portfolio, which includes seven styles designed for commercial and contract interior applications. Sensus features wide-format planks measuring 86.6-inches-by-7.3 inches and is characterized by a rustic oak appearance with golden-brown tones. The flooring incorporates a brushed surface texture intended to highlight natural wood grain and provide a tactile finish.

“Sensus calls to mind the all-but-forgotten tactile nature and organic familiarity of warm wood visuals that instantly change the feel of a commercial space,” Neel Bradham, Parador’s CEO said in a statement. “While at the same time, this beauty is balanced with the ultimate performance across the entire Harmonia collection.”

The engineered hardwood construction includes a 3.6 mm wear layer and a core made from processed spruce and fir. The Coesfeld, Germany-based company states that this structure is designed to support dimensional stability and durability in high-traffic contract environments while maintaining ease of maintenance.

Sensus also incorporates the manufacturer’s SurfaceONE technology, which is designed to enhance texture and surface detailing. The product is manufactured in Austria using low-emission production processes and timber sourced from certified forests.
