Architecture, interior design and project management firms Jonathan Nehmer + Associates and HVS Design have released the 2026 Hotel Cost Estimating Guide, now in its 18th year.
The guide is a reference covering capital expenditure construction and FF&E costs associated with hotel renovations and evaluates costs across multiple hotel tiers, including economy, extended stay, midscale, upscale, upper-upscale and luxury. Within each tier, cost categories include guestrooms, guest bathrooms, guestroom corridors, public spaces, food and beverage outlets, function spaces, guest amenities, infrastructure and common additives.
“The Hotel Cost Estimating Guide continues to be a trusted tool to reference when renovating a hotel,” Warren Feldman, CEO, Jonathan Nehmer + Associates, said in a statement. “It is a comprehensive reflection of current market costs to serve as a guide for planning for your hotel renovation. We could not create this annual resource without the assistance of our expert contributors.”
Contributing firms to the 2026 guide include Benjamin West, Ironstar Construction, POK Construction, Reliance Construction Co. and Zerr Enterprises.
