Real estate investment firm Ebbitt Corporation has sold the Hampton Inn in Gloucester, Va., in a deal brokered by Mumford Company.
The Hampton Inn by Hilton was acquired by a Virginia-based, multi-unit ownership group who acquired the hotel in a 1031 exchange utilizing proceeds from a recent sale which was also brokered by Newport News, Va.-based Mumford Company. The hotel will receive a thorough PIP renovation and continue in the Hampton Inn brand family.
Mumford also sold the Hampton Inn to College Park, Md.-based Ebbitt Corporation in 2016. Senior principal David Mumford, along with Justin Pinkard and Carter Willcox, led the sellers’ disposition efforts, and the buyers were assisted by Justin Pinkard and Carter Willcox.
