SREE Hotels has added to its portfolio of hotels in the Southeast with the acquisition of the 130-room Hyatt Place Columbia (S.C.) Downtown/The Vista.
Owned and operated by Charlotte, NC-based SREE Hotels, the six-story hotel is located in Columbia's arts and entertainment district, near the University of South Carolina campus, Colonial Life Arena and Williams-Brice Stadium. The property—which is overseen by general manager Andrew Soltau—has guestrooms and suites with separate areas. Guestrooms include a Cozy Corner sleeper sofa and workspace desk.
“The acquisition of Hyatt Place Columbus/Downtown/The Vista reflects our continued confidence in downtown Columbia's growth trajectory,” Parag Patel, CEO, SREE Hotels, said in a statement. “The Vista district and the broader downtown core have seen sustained demand from both business and leisure travelers. This property adds to our strong foothold in one of the Southeast's most resilient secondary markets.”
Hotel amenities include a complimentary breakfast bar, 24-hour fitness center, indoor pool, guest laundry facilities and 2,050 sq.-feet of meeting space. The lobby-level Placery restaurant offers beverages, grab-and-go items, lunch and dinner, as well as a full bar.
