As demand for outdoor and nature-based travel experiences continues to grow, Marriott International is expanding its Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy with the addition of RESET Hotel in Twentynine Palms, Calif., marking the first new brand to join the portfolio since its launch in September 2025.
Located on 180 acres near the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, the 65-room hotel is the first ground-up hotel development in Twentynine Palms in more than 15 years. The property features guestrooms with private patios, fire pits, daybeds and stargazing platforms, along with architecture designed to integrate with the surrounding desert landscape. RESET joins the Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy alongside founding brands Postcard Cabins and Trailborn.
“RESET was created to offer a more thoughtful way to experience the desert, one that brings guests closer to the landscape without competing with it,” Shannon Ching, co-founder of RESET, said in a statement. “Joining Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy gives us the opportunity to introduce that experience to a broader global audience while preserving the independent vision and sense of place that define the hotel.”
“With its incredible access to Joshua Tree, thoughtful design and experiences that help guests connect more deeply with the destination, RESET is exactly the kind of property we envisioned welcoming into the collection,” added Diana Plazas-Trowbridge, chief lodging product and services officer, U.S. & Canada, Marriott International.
Amenities at RESET include a saltwater pool, jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge, outdoor soaking tubs, communal fire pits and a desert preserve. The hotel also has astronomy programming featuring Celestron telescopes, events led by former NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory astronomers and other destination-focused experiences.
