NexGen Hotels acquires California hotel

NexGen Hotels, a hotel development and management company in Illinois, acquired The Cole Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif. Other terms were not disclosed. The boutique hotel will be managed by Genuine Hospitality Group of St. Louis.

The Hotel Cole is located at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains. The 30-room hotel has convenient access to the trails of the North Lykken Trail, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, the Antique Galleries of Palm Springs, Indian Canyons, Moorten Botanical Garden, the Palm Springs Air Museum and Coachella.

“We are delighted to add The Cole Hotel into our growing portfolio and to expand our footprint into the California market,” NexGen Hotels President Chris Patel said in a statement. “This one-of-a-kind property offers guests a unique experience when traveling to Palm Springs.”

Each guestroom is decorated in the Palm Springs style and has views of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and the San Jacinto Mountains. In-room amenities include Nespresso coffee machines, Victrola Bluetooth stereos, 4K smart televisions with streaming capabilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.

The adult-only hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool and inviting lounge spaces, an outdoor courtyard with fire pit, an outdoor bar, as well as Freddie’s Kitchen—a modern bistro serving French California cuisine with global flavors.
