Mumford Company reported continued transaction momentum entering 2026 following a flurry of deal activity in late 2025 in which the firm closed several transactions.
The uptick in activity reflects improving market alignment between buyers and sellers and a steady pipeline moving into the new year, according to the Newport News, Va.-based hospitality brokerage advisory company.
“Transaction activity accelerated toward the end of the year as buyers and sellers found common ground on pricing and deal structure,” Ed James, managing principal at Mumford Company, said in a statement. “We are seeing increased confidence on both sides of our transactions, supported by increasingly available capital and improving visibility around short- and medium-term operating performance. As we move into 2026, we have a solid pipeline of deals in progress and an increasing pool of listing opportunities across our market segments.”
Recent closings included the 94-room Savannah Suites Atlanta Airport in Atlanta; the 98-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte-Arrowwood in Charlotte, N.C.; the 78-room Residence Inn by Marriott Houston Sugar Land/Stafford in Stafford, Texas; the 57-room Comfort Inn & Suites Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, Texas; the 75-room Holiday Inn Express Crystal River in Crystal River, Fla.; and the 61-room Best Western Inn of McAlester in McAlester, Okla.
