Salt Lake City Radisson taps Hotel Internet Services for in-room entertainment

The team at the Radisson Salt Lake City Downtown has selected Hotel Internet Services to upgrade the property’s in-room entertainment experiences with the deployment of its GuestCast streaming solution. The hotel previously partnered with HIS to upgrade its guest Wi-Fi abilities.

Part of both Choice Hotels International and the Upscale by Choice portfolio, Radisson Salt Lake City recently completed an extensive renovation that included deploying an internet network upgrade by HIS. The positive experience built a strong relationship that encouraged the team to select GuestCast for in-room streaming. Through the platform, guests can scan a QR code to pair their personal device with the guestroom TV for instant content casting abilities.

GuestCast can function with many personal streaming accounts. The solution’s security capabilities include device isolation that provides enhanced privacy.

“HIS has consistently impressed us with their professionalism and expertise, so it was no surprise when they exceeded our expectations for the updated entertainment service,” John Green, general manager at Radisson Salt Lake City Downtown, said in a statement. “Guests have embraced GuestCast for its ease of use and adaptability. We're excited to make it a central feature of our modern room experience, and the increase in guest satisfaction shows it was a worthwhile investment.” 

GuestCast also comes equipped with a performance analytics dashboard that monitors individual GuestCast device health in real time. The dashboard not only prevents streaming issues from going unnoticed but can also provide a snapshot into the quality of Wi-Fi service signals for each guestroom. Hoteliers can leverage data to gauge the success of their in-room entertainment and onscreen TV promo strategies.
