RMS—a hospitality technology platform serving hotels, motels, serviced apartments and short-term rentals—has introduced a new integration with global smart access provider Salto aimed at simplifying access management and improving the guest arrival experience.
The integration connects RMS with Salto KS (Keys as a Service), Salto’s cloud-based access control solution, enabling operators to issue and manage digital mobile keys directly from the RMS reservation screen. Combining the two platforms is designed to reduce administrative complexity and minimize errors associated with managing multiple systems, according to San Diego, Calif.-based RMS.
“This integration with Salto reflects our ongoing commitment to removing friction from the guest journey and modernizing core operational processes,” Adam Seskis, CEO of RMS, said in a statement. “By enabling smart, secure access from within our PMS, we’re helping operators deliver a smoother arrival experience, reduce administrative workload and strengthen property security within a single platform.”
“Salto KS is designed to simplify access control while delivering robust security and real-time visibility,” added Michael Cianfaglione, technology partner and integrations lead at Salto Systems. “Integrating with RMS extends these capabilities directly into hospitality workflows, supporting more connected and convenient guest experiences.”
Using the Salto mobile app, guests can unlock rooms with their smartphones, while operators can manage access to guestrooms as well as shared facilities such as gyms, pools and parking areas. Access permissions and logs are managed in real time within the RMS platform.
According to RMS, embedding access control into the PMS supports faster check-in, strengthens security through centralized key management, and removes the need for manual key handovers.
