Quore’s enhanced CapEx management platform has recently been leveraged by hotel operators as part of an effort to streamline budgeting, forecasting and asset planning.
Quore’s CapEx tool is designed to replace spreadsheets, binders and email chains with a centralized digital workflow that streamlines capital requests, accelerates approvals and strengthens long-term financial forecasting, according to the Franklin, Tenn.-based technology company.
One prominent operator which has seen the impact of Quore’s platform on hotel operations, particularly during budget season, is OTO Development—which manages some 55 properties. The Spartanburg, S.C.-based company’s transition to Quore marked a turning point in how capital expenditures are managed, according to senior national director of facilities Kevin DeMark.
“When we first explored CapEx tools, everything was handled through Excel and hand-written notes,” DeMark said in a statement. “There was no visibility and no workflow. We needed something electronic and consistent and Quore delivered that out of the box.”
“We know budget season is one of the most stressful times of the year for hotel teams,” said Richard Bradbury, vp of product at Quore. “Our CapEx tool helps management companies map out budgets, streamline approval flows, attach supporting documentation and forecast needs up to 15 years ahead. It takes the confusion and chaos out of the equation.”
OTO piloted multiple systems simultaneously—testing Quore in five hotels and a competing solution in another five—before opting for Quore's solution. “Quore grew with us. As we added hotels, sold others or changed managers, Quore became the standard. Today, every property—even new openings—launches with Quore from day one,” said DeMark.
He pointed to several advantages that have reshaped OTO’s CapEx process, including centralized bid comparisons, photo-based documentation that gives corporate teams rapid clarity, workflow-driven collaboration between property and corporate leaders, historical visibility into asset life cycles and stronger leadership alignment supported by weekly CapEx meetings.
In 2025, Quore introduced a new CapEx Report providing real-time visibility into requests at every stage of the approval process, along with more flexible approval routing and expanded mobile capabilities. Approvers can now review and take action directly from their mobile devices, accelerating decisions across portfolios.
“These enhancements reflect our commitment to supporting both property teams and above-property leaders. Our goal is to make CapEx not just easier, but more accurate, transparent and strategic,” said Bradbury.
