Historic Hotels of America—the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation—has selected technology platform Cloudbeds as a supplier partner.
San Diego, Calif.-based Cloudbeds will support member hotels with a unified hospitality technology platform designed to streamline operations, enhance the guest experience and improve overall business performance, while respecting the architectural character and heritage of landmark properties, according to the company. Cloudbeds is a property-management platform that works with independent, boutique and heritage-driven hotels globally.
Historic Hotels of America represents more than 300 historic hotels across the U.S., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Member properties are recognized for their architectural integrity, historical significance and long-standing cultural importance, according to the association.
“Historic hoteliers welcome guests at storied destinations shaped by generations of travelers. They are committed to honoring the past while delivering the level of service today’s guests expect. Cloudbeds offers technology that supports this balance, helping hotels operate more seamlessly while respecting the legacy of these distinctive properties,” said Lawrence Horwitz, EVP of Historic Hotels of America and Historic Hotels Worldwide, said in a statement.
“Historic hotels have always balanced preservation with progress,” said Adam Harris, CEO and co-founder of Cloudbeds. “They’ve endured by staying true to who they are, and Cloudbeds provides modern infrastructure that allows them to compete while maintaining the individuality that defines them.”
