Software platform provider BirchStreet Systems has rolled out an accounts payable solution designed to automate invoice processing from capture through payment execution across hospitality operations.
Powered by AI, BirchStreet Smart AP is designed to accelerate invoice processing, reduce manual workloads and errors and provide real-time financial visibility. The platform integrates invoice ingestion, reconciliation and payment workflows within a single procure-to-pay environment.
According to the Las Vegas-based company, the solution can automate up to 95 percent of invoice processing tasks and provides dashboards that track invoice status, payment timing and vendor performance. The company further added that the platform is positioned to support multi-unit hospitality organizations facing rising labor costs and operational complexity.

An embedded payment workflow, SmartPay enables execution of ACH, enhanced ACH, virtual card and check payments directly within the platform. The process is intended to reduce fraud risk, improve supplier visibility and streamline payment operations.
Key capabilities include automated invoice ingestion across digital formats, including AI capture, electronic invoicing and third-party integrations. The platform also features automated three-way matching across purchase orders, receiving records and invoices. AI-driven workflows identify discrepancies and manage exceptions at both the header and line-item level with the goal of improving reconciliation accuracy and processing speed.
