Hospitality software platform provider Amadeus has acquired SkyLink, a technology company focused on AI-powered orchestration and conversational automation for corporate travel.
In the near term, the combined technology is expected to expand Amadeus’ capabilities for travel management companies, particularly in North America. Longer term, Amadeus plans to extend AI-driven conversational functionality across airlines, airports, hospitality providers and other travel stakeholders. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SkyLink develops AI architecture designed to integrate into chat-based environments, enabling users to book and manage flights and hotels through conversational interfaces. The New York, N.Y-based company’s platform is used to streamline travel servicing workflows while supporting cost control and operational efficiency for corporate travel programs.
Portsmouth, N.H.-based Amadeus said the acquisition supports its broader strategy to deploy AI across travel operations at scale. The company operates in more than 190 markets and processes billions of search requests and millions of travel transactions daily.
"Combining our AI-native technology with Amadeus' scale and industry reach will allow us to deploy our technology faster and bring powerful new capabilities that benefit travelers and companies across the travel industry,” Atyab Bhatti, CEO and co-founder, SkyLink, said in a statement. “It's a pivotal time to deliver concrete AI solutions and, now with Amadeus, we can accelerate the next phase of travel innovation.”
“Our technology is deeply integrated across the travel industry, connecting systems and workflows developed over decades,” added Luis Maroto, president and CEO, Amadeus.
