G6 Hospitality has launched SHIELD6, a safety training program providing Motel 6 and Studio 6 owners, managers and hotel staff with safety and security training and resources.
The program is being offered to properties where guest feedback indicates an opportunity to strengthen safety practices. SHIELD6 will be delivered through regional training sessions led by the G6 Safety & Security Team and attended by hotel general managers, owners and G6 directors of Brand Performance.
Sessions cover safety and security practices, law enforcement trends affecting the hospitality industry and resources available to franchisees. These include Delight IQ, a customer feedback tool; Room Next Door Training, a human trafficking prevention module; G6 Hotline training; the company’s Do Not Rent Policy; safety resource guides; standard operating procedures; and contacts within the Safety & Security Team.
“Our goal with SHIELD6 is to make sure every enrolled franchisee has direct, ongoing access to our team, not just a one-time training session,” Anuj Ladha, national head of brand performance, G6 Hospitality, said in a statement. “Safety is an evolving conversation, and this program keeps our owners, managers and their staff connected to the latest tools, guidance and resources they need to protect their guests and their business.”
