Two Hyatt Regency hotels, others, appoint sales, marketing leaders

Several hotels have appointed sales and marketing leaders in recent weeks. 

Albert Hotel

The Albert Hotel, an independent property in Fredericksburg, Texas, has appointed Mike Reeber director of sales and marketing.

Born and raised in the Northeast and now based in Austin, Reeber holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., and began his career in hotel operations before joining Marriott as an online marketing manager at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa. 

Reeber went on to work with Priceline.com, overseeing hotel partners across the Southeast, before returning to Marriott to lead group sales and later serving as assistant director of sales & marketing at the Sheraton Tribeca in New York City. After relocating to Texas, he was named director of sales & marketing at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, where he led sales strategy for the 492-room property. 

Hotel Teatro

Hotel Teatro, a historic boutique hotel managed by Sage Hospitality Group in downtown Denver, has appointed Alyssa Trinko as marketing manager. 

Trinko has more than five years of experience in creative strategy, content marketing and brand development, with a background spanning hospitality-adjacent retail, cultural institutions, nonprofit organizations and education. 

Most recently, Trinko was marketing manager for a boutique luxury retailer, where she oversaw social media, content creation and brand strategy across digital and print platforms. 

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has appointed Stefanie Kaplan associate director of leisure sales.

Kaplan recently celebrated her 31-year anniversary with Hyatt, with a career spanning several properties, including Hyatt Regency Long Beach (15 years), Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa (16 years) and The Shay, Culver City (3.5 years). 

Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City

The Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City appointed Alexandra Santa its new director of sales and marketing. 

Before joining Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, Alexandra was director of group sales at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. During the Maui fires, she oversaw the Red Cross block that temporarily housed hundreds of community members who lost homes. 

A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Alexandra is actively involved in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, serving as co-chair for the Women at Hyatt chapters in both San Diego and Hawaii. 

SkyBeach Resort

SkyBeach Resort, a newly reimagined 113-room beachfront hotel located at the southern tip of St. Petersburg, Fla., appointedJoyce Turner as director of sales. 

Most recently, Turner was director of sales at Hotel Flor in Downtown Tampa, where she spearheaded the property’s rebranding as part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Within her first six months, she secured $1.8 million in group revenue and negotiated a multiyear, $2.8 million crew contract with Delta Air Lines. Before that, Turner spent more than 15 years at Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF Near Busch Gardens. 

W Philadelphia and Element Philadelphia Downtown

W Philadelphia and Element Philadelphia Downtown have appointed Julia Spieler as complex director of marketing for both properties. 

Spieler has spent more than 12 years with Marriott International, beginning her career at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C., and advancing through a variety of operational roles, including the launch of the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. Most recently, she was senior marketing manager, overseeing a portfolio that included The Notary Hotel, Philadelphia Airport Marriott, Bridgewater Marriott, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection in Miami Beach.
