Ocra and TrackMyShuttle have formed a strategic partnership aimed at integrating hotel parking revenue management with real-time shuttle tracking for airport hotels.
The collaboration combines Chicago-based Ocra’s revenue management and distribution platform for hotel parking inventory with TrackMyShuttle’s fleet visibility technology, which tracks shuttle locations, passenger capacity and estimated arrival times. The companies said the partnership is intended to address operational challenges around airport hotel parking and transportation, including limited visibility for travelers moving between hotel lots and airport terminals.
Ocra’s platform distributes this parking inventory across third-party booking channels while managing pricing and availability. After guests park, Leesburg, Va.-based TrackMyShuttle’s system provides real-time updates on shuttle location, capacity and timing.
“Our goal is to generate significant incremental revenue for hotel owners and operators by allowing them to park non-guest customers with negligible work for their teams,” Ethan Glass, CEO and co-founder at Ocra, said in a statement. “TrackMyShuttle’s best-in-class fleet management technology adds another layer of value: travelers feel 100 percent confident about how they’ll get from the hotel lot to the terminal and back. That has a positive user experience impact that fosters trust and repeat business.”
“By working together, we’re able to create a more connected experience for our mutual customers while continuing to build new capabilities that benefit both the TrackMyShuttle and Ocra communities,” said Bhavin Parikh, CEO of TrackMyShuttle.
For hotel owners and operators, the partnership is focused on improving visibility into parking and transportation operations while generating additional revenue from unused parking spaces. The combined platforms provide data on shuttle locations, driver activity, passenger counts and baggage capacity. The companies plan to offer the integrated system to airport hotels seeking to coordinate parking sales with shuttle transportation operations.
