Solmar Hotels & Resorts has launched a $6 million investment across its Los Cabos portfolio, funding a series of upgrades for new accommodations, guestroom renovations and energy-efficient infrastructure improvements.
The investment comes amid continued momentum in Los Cabos, which welcomed 3.8 million visitors in 2025, a 130 percent increase over the past decade. The initiative reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to strengthening its presence in Baja California Sur, according to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico-based Solmar Hotels & Resorts.
At Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes, the resort has expanded its accommodations with two new five-bedroom villas, designed to provide additional space, privacy and a more residential-style stay. A new building at Grand Solmar The Residences will also introduce four penthouse-style suites.
At Playa Grande Resort, guestroom renovations across three towers have introduced a contemporary design that looks to blend ocean-inspired elements with modern finishes and enhanced in-room comforts. The resort has also upgraded mattresses throughout the property as part of a broader comfort initiative.
At Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa, a series of enhancements has been implemented to help advance sustainability efforts. Energy optimization systems—including a heat-recovery water-heating system to reduce gas consumption—have been installed alongside LED lighting upgrades in select guestrooms. Additional improvements include reupholstered furnishings in select penthouses and suites, upgraded in-room kitchen equipment and the installation of wireless charging and USB-C-enabled stations.
