The Sheraton Charlotte Hotel has completed a 10-month, $12 million renovation encompassing all 305 guestrooms and suites.
The transformation—which was led by local design firm Goodman Charlotte—is designed to introduce refreshed, light-filled design, modern technology and additional amenities to the property, which is located in uptown Charlotte near the Pearl District and IRCAD. The Sheraton Charlotte Hotel—which is part of a dual-branded complex with Le Méridien Charlotte—is managed by Providence, R.I.-based StepStone Hospitality.
“The renovation of the Sheraton Charlotte marks an exciting new chapter for our hotel and for the Queen City,” said John Panko, general manager of the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. “We set out to elevate every touchpoint of the guest experience and we’re proud to introduce a refreshed, modern environment that reflects both the energy of Uptown Charlotte and the warmth of our community.”
“Our goal was to create spaces that feel both inspiring and functional,” said Mariah Russell, area director of sales and marketing and project management for the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel. “These renovations bring new energy to our guestrooms, blending comfort, technology and a strong sense of place that reflects the vibrant spirit of Charlotte.”
The refreshed accommodations align with Sheraton’s global brand transformation, which is designed to reimagine the brand through modern design, community connection and a renewed sense of belonging, according to the company.
Each guestroom features a bright, contemporary color palette designed to complement the natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests will also have access to tech-forward enhancements, including improved connectivity, multiple device-charging options and expanded workspaces. The hotel’s premium suites offer separate living and dining areas designed for VIP guests or extended stays.
In addition to the newly renovated guestrooms, the hotel includes the Sheraton Club Lounge, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and multiple on-site dining venues, such as the Social Bar & Kitchen, Craft City Pub, City Lights Rooftop and Tannin & Toast Coffee and Wine Bar.
