Sheraton Boston completes $100 million renovation

Funded by owner Hawkins Way Capital in partnership with Battery Global Advisors, the Sheraton Boston has completed a $100 million renovation that coincides with the hotel’s 60th anniversary.

Located in Back Bay adjacent to the Prudential Center and Hynes Convention Center, the 1,220-room property has undergone a comprehensive redesign of guestrooms, public areas, dining venues and meeting spaces as part of Marriott International’s broader transformation of the Sheraton brand.

“We are proud to unveil a reimagined Sheraton Boston that reflects both the historic character of the city and the evolving expectations of today’s traveler,” Ross Walker, managing partner at Hawkins Way Capital, said in a statement.

David Rothenhaus, co-CIO of real estate at Battery Global Advisors, added that the renovation “marks an exciting new chapter” for the property and “redefines modern hospitality in the heart of the city.”

Guestrooms and suites now have a residential-inspired style with Sheraton Signature Beds, sit-stand desks and updated views of the Boston skyline and Charles River. Public spaces have been redesigned with a modern look, while new dining concepts include Henderson at Sheraton Boston, an all-day restaurant and bar, and &More by Sheraton, a market-style café. The hotel has also refreshed its pool deck, added cabanas and a retractable roof and reintroduced the Sheraton Club lounge for Marriott Bonvoy members.

The property’s 70,000 square feet of meeting and event space has also been reimagined to accommodate both small gatherings and large-scale events. The Sheraton Boston will remain under Marriott management as part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
