The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico has completed a full renovation of all guestrooms, suites and corridors.
Designed by HBA International, the renovation project blends the property’s 1919 architectural heritage with a modern aesthetic. In addition, the oceanfront hotel also has introduced an In-Suite Wellness Package and appointed executive chef Juan Peña to oversee its culinary operations.
“The renovation honors the property’s history while updating it for today’s traveler,” Ben Tutt, managing partner of The Condado Collection, said in a statement. “With redesigned rooms, a wellness offering and new culinary leadership, Condado Vanderbilt continues to evolve as a leading hospitality destination.”
The redesign features subtle references to Spanish Colonial architecture and Caribbean craftsmanship, using white moldings, soft green tones, marble finishes and dark woods, according to the company. The 317 guestrooms, including 100 suites, now feature new furnishings, lighting and textiles, as well as upgraded bathrooms with walk-in showers and deep soaking tubs.
The new In-Suite Wellness Package is designed to enable guests to curate a personalized experience focused on relaxation and rejuvenation with in-room spa treatments, meditation amenities and healthy dining options crafted by the culinary team. The hotel’s dinin
g program, meanwhile, will highlight locally sourced ingredients and Puerto Rican flavors across its signature restaurants and bars.
