The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel has finished a property-wide renovation, updating every guestroom and suite, adding 10 new two-bedroom layouts, and redesigning the Club Lounge.
The renovation of the luxury hotel—which is located in Dana Point, Calif.—was led by Wimberly Interiors. The update is designed to celebrate Laguna Niguel’s setting atop the Dana Point bluffs with interiors that reflect the region’s beach culture and tradition of luxury hospitality, according to the company.
“The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel is a property our firm has helped shape from its beginning,” Liana Hawes Young, associate principal at Wimberly Interiors, said in a statement. “This renovation allowed us to revisit our history with the property through interiors that reflect the culture, landscape and creative expression of Dana Point.”
The refreshed rooms emphasize natural light and views of the surrounding coastline with color palettes drawn from the site’s hills and beach. Guestrooms now feature custom headboard murals, expanded bathrooms and finishes designed to create a residential feel. One-bedroom suites extend the layout with separate living and dining areas, while several include marble baths.
The renovation also introduced 10 new two-bedroom Suites, each with distinct design schemes. Layouts include larger living and dining areas, some with fireplaces, media rooms or private bars. Specialty suites, such as the Salt Creek Suite and The Ritz-Carlton Suite, incorporate nature-inspired motifs and curated artwork.
The Club Lounge was reimagined as a residential-style gathering space with a new floor design, paneled millwork and integrated culinary stations intended to encourage guest interaction.
