Procaccianti Companies has completed a renovation of the Holiday Inn South Kingstown in Rhode Island, a project which included upgrades to guestrooms and public areas.
The renovation was managed by TPG Construction, while the hotel will continue to be operated by Cranston, R.I.-based TPG Hotels & Resorts. The 107-room hotel—which Procaccianti acquired in the early 1980s—is located in Rhode Island’s South County submarket near the University of Rhode Island and area beaches.
Improvements included refreshed guestrooms, updated soft goods and finishes and enhancements to common areas and meeting space aimed at supporting transient and group demand. The four-story hotel includes on-site parking, a restaurant and lounge, fitness center, pool, meeting space and pet-friendly accommodations.
“South Kingstown continues to benefit from a diverse mix of university, leisure and regional corporate demand,” General Manager John Whitehead said in a statement. “This renovation allows us to elevate the guest experience, maintain strong brand alignment while improving the property’s ability to compete for both transient and group business.”
