McKibbon Hospitality updates Georgia Residence Inn

The Residence Inn Savannah (Ga.) Downtown/Historic District has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its guestrooms and public spaces. 

Notable upgrades include new exterior marquee signage; new flooring and light fixtures; expanded seating and contemporary furnishings in the lobby, business center and breakfast buffet,; and updated flooring and paint in the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center. 

The hotel’s studio, one- and two-bedroom suites now have new carpet and vinyl flooring, smart locks, artwork and furniture including plush sleeper sofas, ottomans, ergonomic work desks and in-room coffee makers.

In the courtyard, the pool and patio were also updated, receiving all-new contemporary lounge furniture, a stainless-steel grill station and string lighting surrounding a freshly painted gazebo.

The 109-key hotel, which is owned and operated by McKibbon Hospitality, is in Savannah’s historic district close to River Street, the Savannah River, and the city’s shopping district on Broughton Street with Forsyth Park and Tybee Island a short drive away. McKibbon Places, the company’s construction and renovation arm oversaw the project which was carried out by Savannah-based contractor First Finish.
