Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk unveils $9 million renovation

Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk has completed a nearly $9 million renovation that reimagines its lobby, dining and public spaces.

The project introduces a new Italian-inspired restaurant, Moda Fare, an elevated coffee experience at Spoonful Provisions and the Texas-style Tejas Lounge.

“We are thrilled to welcome guests to a refreshed Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk,” General Manager Ryan Fender said in a statement. “These renovations showcase our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality, blending Texas traditions with modern luxury in a way that elevates every guest experience.”

The redesigned lobby now features modern check-in desks framed by dark wood accents and crystal chandeliers. Contemporary lighting and an open layout is designed to create a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Anchoring the west end of the lobby, Tejas Lounge offers guests a curated menu of Texas spirits and light bites.

Replacing the former Bar Rojo, Moda Fare provides Italian cuisine and craft cocktails to the River Walk. Complementing the updated lobby design, the restaurant features rich wood accents, new furnishings, wood flooring and a garden-style patio.

Meanwhile, Spoonful Provisions, the hotel’s reimagined coffee house, now serves premium roasters and house-made pastries against a backdrop of marble counters, blue tiles and a floral mural.
