Driftwood Capital has completed an $11 million renovation of the 226-room Marriott Raleigh Durham Research Triangle Park in Durham, N.C.
Driftwood Hospitality Management—the firm’s affiliated management company based in North Palm Beach, Fla.—will continue to manage the property. Hospitality Project Advisors, also affiliated with Driftwood Capital, partnered on the renovation.
“We are excited to announce the completion of an impactful $11 million renovation of the Marriott RTP,” Martin Pinsker, vp of investments at Driftwood Capital, said in a statement.
The renovation included upgrades across the full-service property, including refreshed guestrooms, the addition of an M Club lounge, an expanded meeting area created through the conversion of the former pool space and enhancements to the fitness center. Infrastructure improvements included a modernization of the hotel’s HVAC system, transitioning from PTAC to VTAC units.
The hotel is situated within Research Triangle Park, with proximity to Interstate 40, Raleigh-Durham International Airport and a range of corporate offices, universities and retail and dining destinations.
