Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach unveils complete renovation

Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation across its 405-room property, introducing redesigned accommodations, new dining concepts and reimagined public spaces.

The transformation includes a full redesign of all guestrooms, featuring updated layouts, new furnishings and a palette inspired by the surrounding ocean and landscape. A notable addition is the reimagined 850-square-foot penthouse suite, positioned on the 18th floor of the Ola Tower, which now includes an executive kitchen, expanded living areas and a wraparound terrace.

“The transformation of Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach is about more than interior transformations; it’s about creating inviting spaces that connect guests to the heart of Waikiki,” General Manager Paul Garcia said in a statement. “We’ve reimagined the guest experience to celebrate the pulse of paradise while honoring Hawai‘i’s art of hospitality.”

Public areas have been reconfigured to enhance flow and connectivity, including an open-air lobby and lounge overlooking a central pool and courtyard. The outdoor space serves as a focal point of the property, incorporating flexible seating, fire features and social gathering areas. Additional amenities include a nine-hole mini golf course, upgraded fitness center, spa facilities and refreshed meeting spaces, alongside a saltwater pool located in the Moi Tower.

The renovation draws on Hawaiian cultural principles, with the property’s three towers—Kalo, Mo‘i and Ola—named to reflect elements of nourishment, ocean heritage and well-being. The design concept references the traditional ahupua‘a land system, emphasizing a connection between mountain and ocean environments.

The property’s culinary program has also been expanded with several new venues. Aloha Amigo, operated by ZETTON Inc., introduces a menu blending Mexican flavors with island influences in a casual setting. Peppermint Café & Pool Bar offers poolside dining with light fare and cocktails, while Ali‘i Coffee Co. features house-roasted beans, specialty beverages and grab-and-go options. A new retail-style concept, CRATE, provides additional convenience for guests.

Located on Royal Hawaiian Avenue, the hotel is within walking distance of Waikīkī Beach, retail and entertainment venues.
