Valor Hospitality has expanded to the West Coast assuming management of The Monsaraz, a 92-room boutique hotel in San Diego’s Point Loma neighborhood.
The Monsaraz opened in 2021 as the first new hotel in Point Loma in more than a decade. Under the agreement, Atlanta-based Valor will oversee the California property’s hotel operations, including food and beverage. The existing hotel team will remain with the property under Valor’s management.
The addition of The Monsaraz expands Valor’s boutique lifestyle portfolio in the U.S. as the company plans additional growth in California and other Western markets. The full-service hospitality management company has more than 100 projects and its Americas portfolio currently spans 14 U.S. states.
The hotel’s design reflects Point Loma’s maritime heritage and Portuguese immigrant fishing roots. Its signature restaurant, Unico, serves Portuguese-inspired cuisine and will be supported by SAVOR by Valor, the company’s culinary and beverage division.
