HEI Hotels & Resorts adds South Carolina Westin to portfolio

HEI Hotels & Resorts has gained its first property in South Carolina with the addition of the Westin Poinsett in Greenville to its management portfolio.

The hotel—which is owned by New York, N.Y.-based Highline Hospitality Partners— is located on South Main Street in downtown Greenville, one block from the Peace Center. Originally opened in 1925, the property was added to Historic Hotels of America in 2002 following a renovation and its reopening as a Westin in 2000. The 200-room hotel includes two historic ballrooms, the Poinsett Ballroom and Gold Ballroom.

“We are excited to be growing our partnership with HEI and are confident they will be a strong partner to drive performance and unlock the full potential of this historic property,” Todd Roffman, partner at Highline Hospitality Partners, said in a statement.

“The Westin Poinsett is a phenomenal property and the second hotel we are managing for Highline Hospitality Partners. We are grateful to them for providing us the opportunity to grow our relationship and are excited to expand our portfolio into South Carolina,” added Anthony Rutledge, managing partner & CEO, Norwalk, Conn.-based HEI Hotels & Resorts.
