Columbia Hospitality has expanded its presence in Oregon by assuming management of Hotel Vance Portland, a Tribute Portfolio hotel.

With the addition of the 180-room downtown Portland property, Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality manages seven hotel and resort properties in Oregon. The company began overseeing operations, guest services and dining at the property on Sept. 1.

Located in Portland’s South Park Blocks Cultural District adjacent to Portland State University, Hotel Vance is within walking distance of the Portland Art Museum, Keller Auditorium and other downtown attractions. The hotel—which is part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio—includes Vance + Vine, a gastropub serving Pacific Northwest-inspired food and beverages, as well as a fitness center and 4,124 sq.-feet of meeting and event space.

“We look forward to elevating guest and team experiences at this beautiful Downtown Portland property,” Matt Hagerman, COO, Columbia Hospitality, said in a statement. “As a Pacific Northwest-based company with a commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence, expending Columbia Hospitality’s presence in Oregon with great partners like Hotel Vance is a natural fit.”

Columbia’s portfolio in the state also includes Hotel Grand Stark in Portland; The Allison Inn & Spa in Newberg; Valley River Inn in Eugene; Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach; Best Western Plus Ocean View Resort in Seaside; and Bar Run Golf & RV Resort in Newberg.
