Hotel owner/operator Palette Hotels has partnered with Procure Impact to incorporate products from social enterprises, nonprofit-supported brands and local businesses into guest-facing retail and amenity programs across its hotel portfolio.
New York, NY-based Palette Hotels will begin integrating Procure Impact products into marketplaces, amenities and other guest touchpoints through the remainder of the year. Products will include food and other merchandise offered through designated shelf space in participating hotels’ grab-and-go marketplaces.
“Our partnership with Procure creates a meaningful opportunity to engage people the labor market too often overlooks,” Richard Lou, CEO, Palette Hotels, said in a statement. “Procure has started a wonderful pathway for less privileged communities to have a material impact in the markets in which we operate, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship moving forward.”
“We're honored to partner with Palette Hotels to demonstrate that thoughtful sourcing can delight guests, strengthen financial performance and expand meaningful employment opportunities all at the same time,” added Jen Collins, co-founder and president, Procure Impact.
Procure Impact tracks the social impact generated through purchases, including paid work hours associated with workforce-focused social enterprises. As part of the partnership, Palette has committed to generating 1,000 hours of employment annually through social procurement. The commitment supports the Dignity of Work Pledge, an initiative launched by Procure Impact in collaboration with the American Hotel & Lodging Association. Progress is tracked through AHLA’s Responsible Stay platform.
