The Asian American Hotel Owners Association has named Folio as the official technology platform for the AAHOA Marketplace, a procurement program powered by Avendra International.
The collaboration launched at AAHOACON26 this week in Philadelphia, where members can preview the updated Marketplace. The AAHOA Marketplace—which leverages the association’s collective purchasing power—provides hotel owners free access to products and services from contracted suppliers at negotiated rates.
An updated version of the Marketplace—developed by Folio and Rockville, Md.-based Avendra International—is scheduled to launch later this year. Enhancements are expected to include improved purchasing functionality, mobile optimization for order management, optional cash-back rewards on qualifying purchases and accounting tools, such as automated reconciliation and spend categorization.
“We have been blown away by the passion and dedication that AAHOA Members have for their guests and their operations, and we are honored to support their work,” Folio CEO Kate Adamson said in a statement. “The custom-built version of Folio will not just help accelerate the delivery of savings in the AAHOA Marketplace, but also give a vital segment of the industry access to powerful operating and payments technology.”
“AAHOA Members deserve the best technology, as well as the best procurement. Folio gets us closer to achieving that. With their powers combined, Folio and Avendra will make it even easier for our members to save both time and money,” added AAHOA Chairman Kamalesh Patel.
