A lot has changed for Wyndham Hotel Group since last year’s International Hotel Investment Forum. Since March of 2017, the company acquired AmericInn and La Quinta, sold its Knights Inn brand to Red Lion, and announced the spin-off of its hotel business into two separate and publicly-traded entities and the addition of the “by Wyndham” tag to its 20 brands.
2018 looks to be no less exciting. At this year’s conference in Berlin, Wyndham President and CEO Geoff Ballotti talked about becoming a pure-play hotel company, what attracted the company to La Quinta and AmericInn, the newest perks for Wyndham Rewards members and what’s ahead for the company in Europe.
