Started in 1982 in Darien, Wis., Royal Basket Trucks, a provider of carts for many fields, including the hospitality industry, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. Over the past 40 years, Royal has continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of many environments and operations.
The product line features a variety of ergonomically designed cart solutions that focus on process improvement and functionality. Royal’s carts can be easily integrated into any daily operation. Today, Royal manufactures more than 80 different products, including sewn basket trucks, rotationally molded carts, powder coated steel housekeeping carts and specialty laundry cart solutions. As a company, Royal focuses on lean manufacturing techniques, which allows all products to be built to order and ship on a short lead time directly to the customer.
Royal also recently expanded its physical footprint with an 80,000-square-foot building addition. This was driven by the need to facilitate large capacity orders while maintaining short lead times for all product types. All Royal poly products are now manufactured in its Wisconsin facility.
This year, Royal was also recognized as a Future 50 company by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, a Top Workplace in Southeastern Wisconsin, a participating member of its community and has continued to be a strong supporter of local nonprofits.
