California's Hotel Cerro joins Marriott's Autograph Collection

Hotel Cerro has joined the Autograph Collection Hotels by Marriott portfolio following a multimillion-dollar renovation, according to StonePark Capital. Positioned in downtown San Luis Obispo, Calif., the hotel has 65 reimagined guestrooms and suites, redesigned public spaces and elevated culinary offerings at two on-site restaurants, including new signature restaurant The Oak Grill and new Headwaters rooftop pool bar.

Hotel Cerro, Autograph Collection by Marriott, is managed by Azul Hospitality Group, a San Diego-based hospitality management platform.

Designed by Gensler, who was inspired by California’s Central Coast, Hotel Cerro now reflects a neutral palette and has abundant lighting. The 65 guestrooms and suites are located in the historic building and the loft suites incorporate original features and fixtures that reflect the history of San Luis Obispo. Brick walls and exposed beams preserve the heritage of the original building and blend it with contemporary style.

Hotel Cerro is dedicated to sustainability and highlighting local ingredients. Located on the hotel’s open terrace level, Edible Gardens and Green Wall grow fresh fruit, vegetables and microgreens in raised beds, providing herbs for salads, sauces, marinades, and fresh fruit and vegetables handpicked by the property's chefs.
