Accor's boutique MGallery Collection has signed Ink 48, a landmark hotel overlooking the Hudson River in New York City. Following the signing, the company will renovate the hotel with a focus on preserving the property's heritage and character. During this transition period, Ink 48 will continue to operate independently before officially joining MGallery Collection as the brand's U.S. flagship hotel in 2028, managed by Rebel Hotel Company.
“New York City is one of the world's most influential travel destinations, and welcoming Ink 48 into the MGallery Collection represents a significant step forward for our brand in North America,” Maud Bailly, CEO Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems,” said in a statement T”he hotel already enjoys a strong identity and a prime location, and through MGallery's focus on storytelling, design and memorable guest experiences, we will further enhance its character while introducing our distinctive hospitality vision to guests visiting the city from around the world. As our preeminent flagship MGallery in the United States, Ink 48 will play an important role in increasing brand awareness and supporting our continued expansion across the region.”
“We are delighted to partner with Accor to bring Ink48 into the MGallery Collection,” said Andres Ramirez, head of asset management, Capstone Equities, a New York-based real estate private equity investment vehicle. “Ink48 has always stood apart in Manhattan's hotel landscape, a property with a genuine sense of place and a loyal following. MGallery is the ideal brand to build on that: a collection defined by individuality rather than uniformity, allowing us to elevate the guest experience and the hotel's positioning while preserving what our guests value most about it.”
“We take a long view on the assets we own, and Ink48 has always had the fundamentals to justify it,” said Henry Zavriyev, president & CEO, Leyad. “Aligning the hotel with a collection like MGallery is a natural progression and having Capstone and Accor as partners give us confidence in how it will be executed. This is a milestone we’ve been working toward for some time.”
Ink 48 has 222 guestrooms and suites, including a signature penthouse suite. Dining options include ground-floor restaurant Hudson Local and Hudson Vu, the rooftop bar. Additional facilities include approximately 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space across multiple venues. The property also has a fitness center.
Following the signing, the hotel will undergo a renovation designed to incorporate MGallery's signature brand touchpoints. During this period, the property will continue operating as an independent hotel, ensuring continuity for guests while the transformation progresses. Once completed, the hotel will reopen in 2028 under the MGallery Collection banner.
