Hotel development and management company Concord Hospitality has added a number of hotels to its portfolio in the past few days.
The company assumed management of Poteat Hotels’ seven-property portfolio across North Carolina, adding the 98-room Courtyard New Bern, the 115-room Courtyard Greenville and the 125-room Aloft Wilmington, along with the 53-room Best Western Wilmington, which transitioned to Concord management on Oct. 1. On Oct. 12, Concord assumed management of the 100-room Courtyard Boone, 113-room Hampton Inn Boone and 107-room Courtyard High Point.
The properties, which will transition to Concord management throughout October, include a mix of full-service and select-service hotels operating under leading global brands.
“We’re excited to partner with the Poteat family and welcome these seven properties to Concord’s growing North Carolina portfolio,” Concord Hospitality COO Will Loughran said in a statement. “As a North Carolina-based company, we have a deep understanding of the communities and markets where these hotels operate, and we’re proud to bring our expertise and resources to properties throughout our home state. This partnership is a great example of the kind of long-term relationships we value—working alongside owners who share our commitment to delivering strong hospitality experiences and creating lasting value.”
“Over the last decade we have been awarded National Hotel of the Year on several occasions and been the recipient of six Conrad Awards from Hilton. We chose Concord because of all the management companies Concord was the most qualified to continue our legacy. We believe there is a strong alignment between the way they operate and the values that have guided our family for generations,” said Reg Poteat, CEO & founder with Poteat Hotels. “Integrity, value and community are cornerstones of our family and our business, and we see those same principles reflected in Concord’s approach to hospitality. We trust Concord to care for our properties, our associates and the communities we serve, and we’re confident this partnership will create a strong path forward for these hotels.”
Other recent additions include the boutique One Washington Circle, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, in Washington, D.C.; and The Satire, Autograph Collection, in Alexandria, Va. Both properties represent significant additions to Concord’s full-service and boutique portfolio in the greater Washington, D.C., market, bringing distinctive hotel experiences and food-and-beverage offerings to the company’s growing collection.
In September, Concord opened the 100-room Union Hotel Flemington (N.J.), a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Originally established in 1814, the property operated for nearly 200 years before closing in 2008. The redevelopment was led by former MLB player-turned-developer Jack Cust and his father, Jack Cust Sr., who preserved the property’s history during the renovation.
Upcoming Projects
Concord is set to assume management of The Vintedge in Lyndhurst, N.J., a hotel-inspired residences concept that will have a restaurant and wine bar.
In early 2027, Concord Hospitality will open and manage The Wren, a new rooftop destination on the sixth floor of the Oberlin Hotel in Raleigh, N.C., and will also open and manage The Beckworth Hotel Charlotte, N.C., Curio Collection by Hilton, a 240-room boutique hotel in the historic Johnston Building.
“We’re incredibly proud of the continued growth and diversification of our management portfolio,” Loughran said about the new additions. “These new assignments reflect the confidence that owners and development partners place in Concord to bring their visions to life and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Concord has continued to strengthen its digital marketing and food & beverage expertise, creating forward-looking strategies that help hotels and restaurants stand out in an increasingly AI-driven discovery landscape, drive demand and elevate the performance of destination-worthy restaurants and hotel concepts. Our focus remains the same: creating welcoming environments, delivering genuine hospitality, and maximizing value for our partners.”
