Castle Resorts & Hotels to manage historic Honolulu hotel

Castle Resorts & Hotels has secured the management contract for the Waikīkī Circle Hotel in Honolulu. Effective Nov. 1, the 104-room hotel will join Castle’s portfolio of hotels, condominium resorts, and vacation rentals across Hawai‘i and New Zealand, becoming the company’s 18th property overall.

The change marks the first transition in management for Waikīkī Circle Hotel in more than three decades. First opened in 1963, Waikīkī Circle Hotel has a circular silhouette that evokes the midcentury-modern era when Waikīkī was emerging as a global destination.

“As Hawai‘i’s largest locally-owned and operated hotel management company, Castle was selected because of our deep roots, local expertise, hands-on management style, and commitment to keeping operations here at home, from on-island leadership to our locally based call center,” Castle Resorts & Hotels President & CEO Matt Bailey said in a statement. “We’re proud to welcome Waikīkī Circle Hotel into our ‘ohana. All current hotel employees will be invited to continue in their roles, ensuring the same warmth and aloha spirit that guests have come to expect.”

Founded in 1993, Castle Resorts & Hotels manages a portfolio of properties on O‘ahu, Maui, Moloka‘i, Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Island, and in Takapuna, New Zealand.
