ALH adds 1,000 rooms across Texas with expansion

American Liberty Hospitality has expanded its third-party management into Central and South Texas, adding a portfolio of 1,000 rooms and growing ALH to more than 3,000 rooms across Texas and Louisiana.

The family-owned and -operated hospitality management company was selected for its management approach that consistently outperforms competitors in market share and service, bolstered by strong brand and industry relationships, Nick Massad III, principal at ALH, said in a statement.

“Being the best wherever we operate has always been our goal, and this addition is another important milestone on that path,” said Massad. “We have this opportunity because of our team, who love hospitality and understand how to achieve ownership goals.”

The new portfolio is split between full-service and focused-service properties and features Marriott, Hilton, IHG and independent brands, including Estancia del Norte San Antonio, Staybridge Suites San Antonio Downtown Convention Center, TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Antonio Universal City/Live Oak, among others.

Spearheading hotel operations is Scott Austin, a 15-year ALH veteran newly elevated to chief operating officer. Austin has consistently led teams with a people-first approach, achieving market share success and guest satisfaction across all properties.

To support the expanded portfolio, Austin added Robert Thrailkill as divisional vice president of operations. Thrailkill brings more than 25 years of senior hospitality leadership experience, providing strategic and operational guidance across the portfolio with a focus on full-service excellence and talent development.

Thrailkill joins an corporate team with expertise across hotel management disciplines, including revenue management, sales, food and beverage, accounting and human resources.
