The Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport recently made its debut in New York City with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included community leaders, local media and hospitality partners.
Food & beverage for the event was provided by Blu Ember, the hotel’s upscale New American restaurant by Balance Hospitality Group. The 13-story five-star hotel was developed by Flushing, N.Y.-based Century Development Group.
Highlights of the property include an indoor pool, WestinWORKOUT Studio and more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space. In addition to being close to LaGuardia Airport, the hotel offers access to the Citi Field, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
“We identified a unique opportunity to create something truly exceptional with The Westin Flushing LaGuardia Airport,” George Xu, president of Century Development Group, said in a previous statement. “We’re bringing refined urban design with a deep respect and understanding of the cultural essence that defines Flushing.”
