Two hotels have opened recently in New Orleans:
Virgin Hotels
Virgin Hotels New Orleans has opened in the city's Warehouse District. The hotel has multiple dining and drinking outlets, including the 13th-floor Dreamboat cocktail lounge; The Pool Club, a rooftop pool, restaurant, and bar; Commons Club, the brand’s flagship restaurant, bar and lounge, and Funny Library Coffee Shop—plus various meeting and event spaces.
Ranging from 294 to 1,097-square feet in size, the hotel has 238 guestrooms, grand chamber suites, a penthouse suite, and Richard's Penthouse Flat. Local art, historical detailing, and Art Deco-inspired elements are woven throughout. Each guestroom is separated by a pair of paneled doors, a nod to French doors as commonly seen in New Orleans design.
Four Seasons
The 341-room Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences New Orleans is now open on the Mississippi waterfront at the foot of Canal Street. The hotel also has several F&B outlets: Chandelier Bar, Miss River, and Chemin a la Mer.
This fall, the hotel will open its crescent-shaped rooftop swimming pool with four private cabanas, a 24/7 fitness center and a spa. The property also has 29,000 square feet of event space and 92 fully-serviced Four Seasons private residences.
