Outbound Hotels is set to open the Outbound Stowe in Vermont. Following its predecessors in Jackson Hole, Wy., and Mammoth Lakes, Calif., the Outbound Stowe has a soft opening scheduled for early July.
Located close to Mt. Mansfield, Outbound Stowe has 73 rooms across 15 room types, an outdoor pool alongside the West Branch Little River and direct access to Stowe’s recreation path. Accommodations range from suites to cabins and an eight-person cottage as well as a loft suite in a converted event barn.
Drawing from a New England design heritage, the property has minimal exterior ornamentation and simple, utilitarian lines, complemented by Vermont woodworking traditions. The design uses a palette of primary colors like red, blue and yellow along with secondary greens and oranges. The spaces showcase fine arts and crafts rooted in the region's heritage, leaning heavily into a cheerful, unexpected color palette unique to the market.
Eastside, Outbound Stowe's signature bar and kitchen concept developed in partnership with Folkart Management, will have its soft opening in late August.
"We are delighted to introduce Outbound Stowe, where guests can embark on a journey of discovery amidst Vermont's stunning landscape," Matthew Mering, EVP of hospitality at Waterton, Outbound Hotels' ownership group, said in a statement. "The expansion of Outbound Hotels into Stowe signifies the next phase in our mission to redefine alternative lodging, granting access to extraordinary outdoor destinations without compromising comfort or design."
