JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown has opened in downtown Atlanta following a repositioning and redevelopment led by hotel operator Stonebridge and Marriott International.

The 237-room hotel is located near downtown attractions including Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Georgia Aquarium. The hotel’s interiors were designed by Dallas-based Looney & Associates and incorporate natural materials, neutral tones and works from Atlanta-based artists.

“As downtown continues to evolve and prepare to welcome global visitors for milestone events like the FIFA World Cup, we are delighted to introduce a JW Marriott experience that reflects the city’s energy while offering a sense of calm, thoughtful luxury to the area, steps from Atlanta’s most celebrated attractions,” Rob Smith, CEO and president of Denver-based Stonebridge, said in a statement.

“Bringing JW Marriott to an urban destination like Atlanta is deeply meaningful for our brand,” added Bruce Rohr, VP and global brand leader, JW Marriott.

The luxury hotel’s amenities include a rooftop pool, spa, fitness center and an executive lounge located on the second floor. Guest accommodations range from king and double-queen rooms to a presidential suite with separate living and dining areas. The property also includes 24 wellness-focused guestrooms located on a designated quiet floor featuring in-room fitness and wellness amenities.

The hotel has several food-and-beverage venues, including The Ledger Bar and Lounge, Fiora, JW Market, and the rooftop pool bar, The Perch, which is scheduled to open in the coming weeks.

Meeting and event facilities total nearly 10,000 square feet and include conference rooms, banquet space and flexible event venues designed for corporate meetings, social events and weddings.
