After a $50 million transformation of the former Sandpiper Bay Resort along Florida’s St. Lucie River, IHG Hotels & Resorts has opened its first all-inclusive property in the U.S. with the debut of the Voco Sandpiper.
The 335-room Voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort—which is located roughly 45 minutes north of Palm Beach—marks a milestone for IHG’s voco brand and is now managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. The redevelopment includes newly designed guestrooms and suites, expanded amenities and a restructured food-and-beverage program.
Guestrooms include one- and two-bedroom accommodations with resort or bay views, each featuring a private balcony or walkout patio. Public space enhancements include 18,000 square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. New venues include The Landing, a waterfront ceremony lawn designed for outdoor events.
Recreational upgrades include a renovated family pool, a new children’s splash pad, refreshed adults-only infinity pool and spa tub and expanded activity offerings. The hotel offers complimentary kayaks and paddleboards, a new arcade and mini-golf course and direct entry to the Sandpiper Bay Marina for Intracoastal waterway excursions. Fitness amenities include a renovated gym with Peloton equipment and scheduled wellness programming, such as waterfront yoga.
The resort’s all-inclusive dining program is led by Chef Mark Jones and includes seven restaurant and bar concepts. Bars are located throughout the property, including poolside, waterfront, sports bar and outdoor recreation-adjacent venues.
