Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Hyatt Studios Huntsville in Alabama as part of an effort to expand the upper-midscale extended stay brand’s presence across the Southeast.
The opening continues Hyatt’s strategic collaboration with 3H Group—the developer behind the first Hyatt Studios property—which debuted earlier this year in Mobile, Ala. The 120-suite property is managed by Dothan, Ala.-based LBA Hospitality, which operates more than 115 hotels across the Southeast.
“The expansion of the Hyatt Studios brand into Huntsville is meaningful for both our collaboration with 3H Group and for the market,” Beau Benton, president of LBA Hospitality, said in a statement. “Huntsville continues to outpace national trends in economic development, and this hotel adds a thoughtfully designed extended-stay option aligned with the city’s growth.”
“Developing the world’s first two Hyatt Studios hotels has only deepened our confidence in what this brand represents,” said Hiren Desai, president and CEO of Chattanooga, Tenn.-based 3H Group. “Hyatt Studios addresses a clear need in the extended-stay segment by offering a welcoming, home-like environment grounded in comfort and quality.”
Hyatt Studios is part of Hyatt’s Essentials Portfolio—which also includes Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Caption by Hyatt, Hyatt Select, and Unscripted by Hyatt. The brand is designed to deliver a home-like experience for extended-stay travelers while maintaining efficient operations and consistent design standards, according to the company.
Each suite at Hyatt Studios Huntsville includes a full-size refrigerator, built-in cooktop, microwave with air-fryer and convection capabilities, dishwasher, cookware and storage. Guestrooms also feature a dedicated sleeping area and a separate lounge space with a sofa or sleeper sofa and multi-functional table.
Property amenities include a 24/7 market, complimentary grab-and-go breakfast, fiber internet, EV charging stations, a 24-hour fitness studio, self-service laundry and an outdoor patio with firepit and grill. The hotel—which is located close to the Huntsville International Airport—also offers 623 square-feet of meeting space accommodating up to 15 guests.
Following the opening of Hyatt Studios Mobile/Tillmans Corner earlier this year, 3H Group continues to expand its Hyatt portfolio with a focus on underserved and emerging markets. Planned openings include a Caption by Hyatt in Chattanooga, Tenn., slated to become the market’s first Hyatt-branded hotel, along with additional projects across the Southeast. The company recently acquired and renovated Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore and is developing dual-brand Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties in East Nashville, Tenn., as well as a Hyatt Studios hotel in Jacksonville, Fla.
